During the month of October HFIG and a few of our partners will host mixers and fashion events to support the initiative to push traffic in local retailers, please feel free to contact us should you receive a request to host a pre-Fashion Week event or an event during Fashion Week.
Martini and A Makeover...
Spas, Boutiques, Hair and Makeup Companies are being asked to participate in this Fashion Week Event by connecting themselves to a charity and hosting a makeover event benefiting the charity. The percentage of the proceeds being designated for charity and the charity of the retailers choice is to be made prior to the event for inclusion on the HFIG Fashion Week Calendar of City Wide events. “Start off Houston Fashion Week by getting that makeover you have always talked about but never got”…. Support a local charity at the same time!
Trunk Show Events...
The Trunk Show Event is an initiative to drive immediate traffic into the participating boutiques location. This is also the boutiques opportunity to market a specialty product or highlight an in store designer or product sales initiative.

The Search For America's Next Top Designer
"Grab your portfolio and make your presence know as Houston Fashion Independence. Co/Founder David Nguyen and Shawn Kingsley host the search for the designers that will grace the runway in the spring 2011 Presentation HFIG Houston Fashion Week. HFIG will be looking persons to fill positions as interns, models, marketing associates, administration and of course the hottest designers in the region.
Slip Martini's from Tito's Handmade Vodka and Delectable delights by Black Box Catering as the hottest fashions form Houston's Trendiest Boutiques hit the runway, in the hottest setting at Houston's own High Fashion Home.
So how do you get invited? You are already invited, stop by your local grocer and pick up a gift certificate for the amount of your choice to donate to Hands and Feet of Houston. (Charitable program that supports and offers substantial meals to young students after they leave school. If you have time to pick up that gift certificate then just enter the on-site raffle to win some amazing prizes, all proceeds to benefit Hands and Feet of Houston.

Fashion In the Park
Two consecutive days of runway fashion shows featuring the talented designers from Houston and all over the United States! Designers scheduled to show include: Danny Nguyen, Tiki Glam, Emanuel, Malissa Long, Sameeri Frahadi, Le Atelier de Duey Kingsley, Emani Blue, Ash Couture, Sarah Suicidal, Joy Fabiano, Rene Perez for ONE Duey Kingsley, Callie Duty, Stoi Phillips, Rudylee Valdez Jr, Jessica Audey and so many more. Ten designers each night, 100 of Texas' hottest models, makeup by The Modern Beauty Makeup Co and Hair by Paul Mitchell. Choreographed by Ericka Ramirez (MTV) of Chucke's Choreography, and featuring a performance by Billboard Artist "Zayra" from CBS reality show. Music and Audio by Surain and Martin of Stereo Live will pulsate the pavement as over 100 models take the stage wearing the hottest fashions from the drawing boards of the HFIG designers.
